PDX Housing Solidarity Project works to bridge the racial homeownership gap by redistributing wealth to Black and Indigenous first-time homebuyers. This Portland-based collective of activists and organizers is dedicated to dismantling racialized disparities in homeownership and addressing the inequitable cycles of intergenerational wealth that perpetuate these gaps.
We had the privilege of working with PDX Housing Solidarity Project (PDX HSP) as part of our Mad Fish Digital Pro Bono Program We initially encountered this impactful work during our collaboration with Taking Ownership and its founder, Randall Wyatt.
Our Objectives
For this project, Mad Fish Digital worked with PDX HSP to:
- Develop a logo and branding that helps PDX Housing Solidarity Project stand out and build a recognizable brand presence
- Design informative event collateral for upcoming events and workshops
- Revamp the PDX Housing Solidarity Project website from a design and SEO perspective
Our Approach
Mad Fish Digital created a compelling and impactful logo and branding that resonates with PDX Housing Solidarity Project's mission of wealth redistribution for housing justice in Portland.
Leveraging this new brand image, our design team also created visually captivating and informative event collateral and tabling materials that effectively convey PDX Housing Solidarity Project's goals and showcase success stories.
When the website was ready to launch, our team ensured that the site was intuitive, accessible, and a visually appealing online platform that promotes the PDX Housing Solidarity Project mission, success stories, and impact while also educating and inspiring visitors to get involved.
Mad Fish’s generous donation of time and creativity toward our online presence helped increase our engagement immensely! They did incredible research into historical and contemporary data that helped us create cohesive branding that our audience truly appreciates and brought further meaning to why our mission is so important, all while presenting it beautifully. As a small organization with little marketing background, working with Mad Fish gave us the tools and knowledge we needed to take our online presence to the next level!
