What do you like to do in your spare time?
Finding all of the fun things to do in Portland and the surrounding area – comedy shows, festivals, wine tasting, camping, pumpkin patches, and eating amazing food. I also love movies, especially anything by Pixar.
Favorite podcast (or other fun media org if you don’t have a show in particular)?
It took me a while to get into podcasts, but right now I’m hooked on My Favorite Murder.
Bucket list items?
Visit Greece, explore the US, and watch a football game in every stadium. The last one is more my husband’s, but we went to a Bear game last year and it was a lot of fun!
What’s your passion project?
Finding ways to help foster kids. Mad Fish is an official drop-off location for The Boxes of Love Project. They provide babies and children going into foster care with a large box of clothes, shoes, and other comfort items to call their own. I also organized a group of employees to create Welcome Boxes for kids who are waiting at the DHS office. I appreciate that Mad Fish lets me bring my passion to the office.
Why did you pick Mad Fish?
Mad Fish sort of picked me. A friend from college reached out to me to do freelance design. After two years of freelance, I hinted to Jasmine that I was looking for a new job and they brought me in. I really loved working with the people here, so you could say that’s why I picked Mad Fish.
Favorite genre of music to work to/link to your favorite Spotify playlist to listen to at work?
I listen to Spotify all day every day. Depending on my mood/project I listen to all of the Morning, Afternoon, Grit Acoustic playlists. Chill hits. If I need to deep focus it’s Peaceful Piano.
Fun fact about yourself.
I worked for the Secret Service during college, roughly 4 years. I was responsible for the counterfeit money that came in, deciding if it was counterfeit and entering it into the system.
If you have a pet, send us a picture of you with it! Or of it! ☺
Meet Monkey! Real name Ellie.
What do you add to the team outside of work?
I bring some fun(ish) things to the office to help us take a step back from work and relax. Fantasy football, brackets, and themed food days (treat yo self bake off is my favorite) and games. I force the fun in a fun/awkward way.
