Where are you located and what is your favorite thing about it?
I’m in North Carolina and I love the close proximity to the beach and the mountains. Also, food. Lots of diverse choices when it comes to food!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m currently part of a kickball league and I’m taking tennis and Thai language lessons! Other than that, I love watching movies and television, and learning all the behind-the-scenes trivia about production.
Have any Bucket list item(s)?
I would love to visit Thailand, specifically the village where my mother is from.
What’s your passion project?
Right now, I’m doing research about creativity, play, and the concept of “being over doing.”
Why did you pick Mad Fish?
I really vibed with the values-led approach, and enjoy being part of an organization that is impact-driven. Mad Fish really cares about its people, and it shows.
Can you share a favorite marketing resource (blog/podcast/website/tool) and why?
Everytime I suggest answerthepublic.com, people light up! Want to know what types of questions people are asking about a particular product, topic, or brand? This website has all the answers.
What is your favorite genre of music to work to? (Link to your favorite Spotify playlist to listen to at work if you have one)
I have a playlist that I’ve curated that is a mix of Moby, Sting, & Madonna. Coincidentally, all of these albums dropped in 1998-1999 and I’ve been listening to them on repeat ever since. (Yeah, I was in 2nd grade listening to Sting. Weird kid.)
Fun fact about yourself.
I’ve DJ’d about 30 weddings and have never attended one as a guest. None of my friends are getting married yet!
If you have a pet, tell us about it.
A few years ago, I was having a really difficult day. I ended up at the shelter because I needed a super-shiny silver lining.
Originally, I was looking for a dog that would force me to exercise (and hey, bonus points if it’s a guardian-type).
Well, I didn’t connect with any of the big playful dogs. But I remember passing by a little ragamuffin in a towel. They brought her to me, the most pathetic raggedy thing you’ve ever seen with a big ol’ underbite… It only took a few seconds before I said, “I’ll take her.”
She had just been rescued from a puppy mill and wasn’t house trained, scared of everything, and malnourished. The first few weeks were not easy at all.
I named her Boo, and ever since that day, she’s been literally by my side. I’m happy to say she’s healthy, happy, and well-loved.
What do you add to the team outside of work?
I know a ton of minor facts about tv and film, which makes me a great asset when we play trivia!
